Board of Directors Slate

MARY WINSTEAD – Mary has been a member of Palmetto Health Credit Union since the beginning of her career at Prisma Health over 30 years ago.  She has served as a board member since 2009.  Her roles on the board have included: Chair, of the Nominations Committee, two terms as secretary and the past three years as Chair of the Membership Education Committee.  The Membership Education Committee provides in-services for credit union members and employees of the hospital offering topics such as Money Management, Budgeting and Credit, Steering toward Retirement with IRA’s, College Funding and Avoiding the Pitfalls of Probate Court, and many others.

Palmetto Health Credit Union is a member driven credit union.  If re-elected, I would want to hear from you to know how we can better service you.  My position has always been those who have good credit deserve to be rewarded, and those who have credit challenges should have an opportunity to learn ways to improve and repair their credit.  My goal is to work and continue to make this happen.

SHANNA PERRY-WRIGHT – Shanna began her healthcare career with Prisma Health in October, 2001, with Patient Financial Services.  She joined Corporate Compliance in January 2003 as a Compliance Analyst and has progressed to her current position as Privacy Officer.  Her past experience includes computer software development and training as well as relationship-based banking with a major southeastern bank.  Shanna received her Bachelor of Science degree from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia and completed her Masters of Business Administration at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.  She has also completed the Certified Revenue Cycle Associate (CRCA) program through the South Carolina Chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) as well as the Certified in Healthcare Compliance and Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance certificates from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA). 

Shanna has been a member of Palmetto Health Credit Union since 2006.  In addition to being a member, she served as the Secretary for the Supervisory Committee from 2010 to early 2013 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in late 2013.  Shanna is honored to currently serve as a member of the Board of Directors. She has previously served as the Chair and Vice Chair of the Board.   Palmetto Health Credit Union is member focused and offers a variety of communications and service lines to the membership.  Shanna looks forward to continuing to serve her fellow members and helping to drive Palmetto Health Credit Union to continued success. 

TIM WALKER – Tim is a Pharmacy Manager located on the Prisma Health Richland Campus. He has been employed with Prisma Health for 22 years.  His responsibilities include budget and financial affairs for all Prisma Health pharmacies.   Tim currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors.

NANCY B. McLENDON – Nancy is a graduate of Columbia College where she received her bachelors in Communication and Business Administration.  She worked at Palmetto Health from January 1990 until July 2007 (1996-2007 as Benefits Manager), Human Resources Manager at Richardson Plowden & Robinson from 2007-2012, 2016-2017, Sr. Benefits Manager at Agfirst Farm Credit Bank from May 2012 until December 2015.  Nancy is currently pursuing her own sewing business, The Swan Sewster. 

Nancy served on the PHCU Supervisory Committee, two years as Vice Chair and Chair from 2009- 2010.  She also served on the PHCU Board of Directors from 2010 – 2012. 

 

Supervisory Committee Slate 

MARY McKISSOCK, CPA – Mary joined Corporate Audit Services in October 2009, between Deloitte & Touche and SCANA, Mary has 21 years of accounting and internal auditing experience.  In addition, Mary has a total of seven years’ experience working in a medical office as the Director of Accounting for Providence Hospitals.  Mary graduated from Mary Washington College in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and from USC in 1996 with a Master of Accountancy, (CPA).

ANTHONY COOPER, MBA, CPA – Anthony has been with Corporate Audit Services at Prisma Health since June 2016 and a member of the Palmetto Health Credit Union since his first day at Prisma Health. His prior experience includes working at PricewaterhouseCoopers auditing financial institutions and large for-profit healthcare companies. In addition, he worked as a graduate financial consultant for the Wilkes Small Business Development Center.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Business Administration from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Anthony is a Certified Public Accountant in South Carolina and Pennsylvania and a member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants.

SHENICQUA L. NASH – Shenicqua is a Medical Laboratory Scientist Specialist at Prisma Health. Her responsibilities include working in the Chemistry/Automated Immunology Department and the Microbiology Department. Shenicqua has worked in healthcare for 2 years in the lab and previously for 3 years in the hospital billing office. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina and Medical Laboratory Certificate from Palmetto Health Medical Laboratory Program.  She began her career at Prisma Health in 2014.

Shenicqua originally hails from Easley, SC but has lived in Columbia since attending USC in 2010.

APRIL ROBINSON – April is the Business and Systems Supply Manager at the Prisma Health Advanced Heart Health Center and Cardiac Diagnostics. Her responsibilities include: managing a team of 6 Administrative Coordinators, front end ambulatory scheduling, high dollar cardiovascular services review, ambulatory billing, and account and charge validations. April has worked in healthcare for 12 ½ years, with the majority of those years being in Patient Access Services. She has a Master’s of Business Administration and a Master’s Healthcare Administration. She has been employed with Prisma Health since May 2007.

In addition to her work, April is a former member of the CA Johnson High School Health Sciences Advisory Board and volunteers with Richland County School District One Summer Camp.
